Fashion Fusion – Introductory class to fashion design and patternmaking. This class is a broad view of fashion design teaching knowledge and skills in fabric science, color science, draping, pattern drafting, fashion sketching, sewing and design. This is a fusion class that will end with a three-dimensional art piece that tells a story unique to each artist. The purpose is not to be overwhelmed with making an entire garment but rather having a fashion piece that each student is proud to showcase.

Heather Willis has a fashion degree from Wade College in Dallas, Texas and bachelor’s degree in Leadership from Texas A&M University with minors in Creative Studies and Business Administration.
She worked for Walt Disney Entertainment in Creative Costuming from 2004 – 2012 and returned to Texas to be close to family. As a mother of Triplets motherhood has reinforced her passion for inspiring others to meet their dreams halfway. Art should not be intimidating; it should be fun to learn, and experience shouldn’t limit your ability – Just keep swimming!
Heather is an ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce, has a proven success in the business community in Business Development, Commercial Leasing, Financial Advising, Marketing and Advertising, and Banking. She is now focusing on spending more time with her children and working in public education with a goal of empowering students in their own careers.
