Procreate is known as one of the most powerful illustration tools for a mobile device. This drawing app turns your iPad into a versatile mobile art studio packed with everything you need to create professional-level artwork.
This Digital Art class will show you all the basics of working with Procreate and Zen Brush on the iPad. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to draw and paint with Procreate and Zen Brush, the digital drawing app used by both professionals and enthusiasts. Digital media is an amazing tool to incorporate into traditional media such as printmaking, painting or mixed media.

Students who have taken this class often begin work in the studio on their tablet for planning pieces or they will import work into the program and add digital layers on top of it to create a mixed media piece. It is also a powerful tool to be used for school projects or creating graphic design projects. This class is perfect for beginners or students wanting to become more proficient with the app and can be taken multiple weeks.

Students must have their own iPad and iPencil with the Procreate and Zen Brush app installed.

We will also utilize these same techniques in creating a superhero “self-portrait”, developing 2D “puppets” and backgrounds using the student’s own uniquely original characters.
